Fiji has a total of 421 licensed accommodation providers with a combined inventory of over 12, 000 rooms. Currently, 90% of hotels in Fiji are open and welcoming visitors.
Accommodation occupancy levels have been closely monitored throughout the pre and post COVID-19 pandemic period by Smith Travel Research (STR); a global data analytics provider. Since the reopening of borders in December 2021, STR Global has measured and tracked the performance of 35 hotels around Fiji.
Tourism Fiji uses this data to monitor the health of occupancy rates, determine current demand and manage supply a compile a report. The reports (linked below) detail accommodation occupancy rates with the Average daily rates, revenue per available room and revenue.
